Job summary

Watco, based in Overland Park, KS, seeks an Investment Analyst to evaluate growth investments and potential acquisitions. You will build financial models, prepare proposals, and drive due diligence across multiple projects within the Finance Group.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience in financial analysis, and the ability to manage multiple work streams with minimal supervision. Travel is limited.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
• 1–5 years of work experience as Financial Analyst or Investment Analyst.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proven modeling ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial analysis and modeling to assess viability and profitability of opportunities.
• Conduct thorough due diligence including market research and risk assessment.
• Prepare investment memoranda, proposals, and presentations for senior management.
• Review materials such as financials, contracts, and labor/benefits agreements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information for evaluation.
• Assist in forecasts, valuations, and performance reports for investments.
• Develop and maintain financial models and databases for reporting.
• Analyze current performance and identify major drivers of growth or decline.
