Diversified, LLC is seeking an analyst to partner with the CIO and investment team from day one, taking real responsibility across asset allocation, manager research, and portfolio construction. You will build expertise, perform due diligence, and contribute to client-focused investment reporting as the firm expands its framework and process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• CFA Level I preferred and progress encouraged.
• Experience in wealth or asset management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CIO and investment team on asset allocation research and portfolio construction.
• Develop expertise in assigned asset classes and perform due diligence on managers.
• Stay current on markets, trends, and the broader investment landscape.
• Monitor model portfolios and produce attribution, exposure, and risk analysis.
• Analyze managers using Morningstar Direct focusing on attribution and reporting.
• Develop investment theses and provide well-reasoned viewpoints with evidence.
• Prepare portfolio analyses and reporting for large clients with bespoke needs.
• Answer investment-related questions from financial planning teams and colleagues.

This is not a back-office support role. As a direct partner to the CIO, you'll have real responsibility across asset allocation, manager research, and portfolio construction from day one. What You'll Do

• Partner with the CIO and investment team on asset allocation research, manager selection, and portfolio construction across existing and new strategies
• Develop subject matter expertise in assigned asset classes, including ongoing due diligence of existing portfolio holdings and proactive identification of new manager and strategy opportunities
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the markets our managers invest in, staying current on market dynamics, trends, and the broader investment landscape
• Monitor model portfolios and produce supporting analysis including attribution, exposure, and risk statistics
• Analyze existing investment managers using Morningstar Direct, with a focus on attribution analysis, performance reporting, and Presentation Studio
• Develop investment theses on assigned asset classes and managers by identifying what matters, building the supporting analysis, and bringing a clear, well-reasoned point of view to the team. We expect conviction in your thinking and intellectual honesty when the evidence changes
• Develop portfolio analysis and investment reporting for large clients with bespoke portfolio needs
• Respond to investment-related questions from financial planning teams and serve as a knowledgeable resource across the firm

What We’re Looking For

• An analytical mind that doesn't stop at the numbers — someone who knows what analysis to run, can identify what's actually important, and is willing to form and defend a view while remaining genuinely open to being wrong
• Someone who sees a gap and fills it, who brings solutions rather than problems, and who takes genuine ownership of outcomes rather than just tasks
• Active participation in or completion of the CFA program; candidates who have passed Level 1 are strongly preferred
• Hands‑on fluency with Morningstar Direct — specifically manager research workflows, portfolio attribution, performance reporting, and Presentation Studio
• Experience in wealth management, asset management, or a related investment environment (RIA, broker‑dealer, bank, fund company, or similar)
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities without losing detail or follow-through
• Strong written and verbal communication skills — you'll be interfacing across the firm and contributing to client‑facing materials
• A genuine interest in building, not just maintaining — we're modernizing a fast‑growing firm and we want someone who sees that as the opportunity it is
