Join to apply for the Investment Analyst role at Vanderbilt University.
About the Vanderbilt Office of Investments (OoI). At OoI, our mission is to protect and grow Vanderbilt’s endowment by achieving outstanding long-term investment returns. The endowment provides over $2.8 billion for student financial aid, programs, faculty, and operations. We partner globally to find superior investment opportunities.
We are seeking an Investment Analyst to join our Private Investments team, a small and collaborative group managing Vanderbilt’s $10 billion endowment. This role is dedicated to supporting our private markets portfolio, which includes private equity, venture capital, natural resources, real estate, and select co-investments.
After concluding the three-year program, analysts are well-prepared to launch into the next phase of their professional journey, such as graduate business school, asset management, or positions at buy-side investment firms such as hedge funds and private equity firms.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree and a demonstrated interest in investments or finance, supported by an excellent academic record and strong work ethic. While our program typically hires directly out of undergraduate programs, we also welcome applications from candidates with some professional experience. All majors are encouraged to apply. We’re looking for curious, driven individuals who are passionate about investments and will thrive in an environment that values independence, initiative, teamwork, and open communication.
Our office is a fun and collaborative environment. We work hard to ensure Vanderbilt’s mission success and maintain a positive office culture. Our open office encourages teamwork, and we believe in celebrating our staff. We also support professional development by offering opportunities for ongoing learning, mentorship, and career growth, ensuring our team members can develop their skills and advance their careers.
