Job summary

Bluespring Wealth Partners seeks an Investment Analyst to support research, analysis, and reporting for client portfolios. The role involves presenting findings to the Investment Committee and CIO, monitoring market dynamics, and ensuring proper investment strategies across client accounts.

Ideal candidates have up to 4 years of experience, a finance or economics background, and familiarity with investment concepts and Microsoft Office. Forthright integrity and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • FINRA Series 7, 65 or 66 licenses optional but desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 1-4 years of investment/investment analysis experience

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze current and prospective investment options.
  • Present findings to Investment Committee and portfolio managers.
  • Monitor economic, market, and political dynamics relevant to investment strategies.
  • Evaluate portfolios to ensure distributions are implemented correctly and cash levels are maintained.
  • Assist in buying and selling securities as directed by portfolio managers.
  • Perform daily operational processes.
  • Engage with other departments to support compliance and reporting.
  • Create ad hoc reports and analyses as requested by portfolio managers.
  • Set up and maintenance of client accounts in proper investment strategies.
  • Maintain investment performance reporting and databases.
  • Participate in Investment Committee.
  • Collaborate with financial planners and client relationship associates on trade matters.
  • Contribute investment content for the firm’s newsletter.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

  • Perform research and analysis on current and prospective investment options as directed by portfolio managers
  • Present research findings to Investment Committee, CIO, and/or investment portfolio managers to assist in investment decision process
  • Monitor economic, market, and political dynamics relevant to investment strategies
  • Evaluate portfolios to ensure distributions are implemented correctly and appropriate levels of cash are maintained in all client accounts
  • Responsible for buying and selling securities as directed by investment portfolio managers
  • Perform daily operational processes
  • Engage with other departments to support operational effectiveness, providing support in areas such as compliance and reporting
  • Create ad hoc reports and analyses as requested by investment portfolio managers
  • Setup and maintenance of client accounts in proper investment strategies
  • Maintain the firm’s investment performance reporting and various investment-related databases
  • Active participation in the firm’s Investment Committee
  • Partner closely with financial planners and client relationship associates in trade related matters and ad hoc client requests
  • Contribute investment-related content for the firm’s newsletter

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and listening)
  • Competent in investment concepts, modeling, strategies, and oversight
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Demonstrates personal integrity, honesty, and ability to deal with confidential information
  • Ability to deal with stress in an ever-changing investment market and financial services industry
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and anticipate potential problems
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment on a variety of projects, receive instructions from a number of people and meet project deadlines
  • Understanding and intellectual curiosity of equity, fixed income, currency, commodity, and alternative markets
Education And/Or Experience
  • FINRA Series 7, 65 or 66 licenses (optional but desirable)
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 1-4 years of investment/investment analysis experience
