Job summary

Everest Global Services, Inc. is hiring an Investment Accounting Analyst II in Warren, New Jersey. The role supports accounting, financial analysis, and reporting for the investment group in a hybrid work model (3 days in office, 2 remotely).

You will handle U.S. GAAP and statutory investments, close processes, and disclosures while collaborating with reporting and investment teams. A CPA or equivalent is preferred; strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
• Accounting experience acceptable for non-traditional grads.
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accounting and reporting of investments on a U.S. GAAP and U.S. Statutory basis.
• Participate in monthly and quarterly investment close process.
• Prepare various U.S. statutory investment schedules.
• Prepare U.S. GAAP and SEC investment disclosures (10-Q, 10-K).
• Assist with local reporting of foreign branches and subsidiaries.
• Coordinate with financial reporting and investment management teams.
• Prepare exhibits and schedules to demonstrate internal controls.
• Provide monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses with account reconciliations.
• Participate in ad-hoc analyses and strategic projects for senior management.

About the role

We are currently looking for an Investment Accountant in our Warren, New Jersey headquarters. You will interact and support several aspects of accounting, financial analysis, and reporting for the group. This is a hybrid position where you are required to be in the office three days a week and the remaining days you can work from home.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Accounting and reporting of investments on a U.S. GAAP and U.S. Statutory basis.
• Participate in the monthly and quarterly investment close process.

• Providing monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses along with account reconciliations.
• Participation in ad-hoc analyses and strategic projects determined by the needs of senior management.

Work Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent degree) in accounting.
• This position is open to business graduates and others who have accounting experience.
• Certified Public Accountant (or equivalent certification) preferred.
• Ability to work independently.
• Highly skilled in math, accounting, and financial processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented and highly organized.
• Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly proficient with Excel.
• Knowledge of PAM and Bloomberg a plus.
• Knowledge of Oracle a plus.

The base salary range for this position is $58,000 - $75,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
