Job summary

Northwestern Mutual Investment Services, LLC is seeking a competent accounting professional to prepare accurate financial reporting for fixed income and equity securities, ensuring timely monthly, quarterly and annual outputs for management, regulators and auditors. You will support data integrity in the PAM system, reconcile assets and income, and work across departments to verify investment deals and transactions in line with Statutory and U.S.

GAAP requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional accounting experience.
Knowledge of investments accounting and GAAP a plus.
Demonstrated decision-making and analytical skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare the investment portion of quarterly and annual filings with regulators and auditors.
Close the PAM securities system monthly and record assets, income, and gains/losses per Statutory and U.S. GAAP.
Collaborate across departments to ensure accuracy of investment deals and transactions.
Prepare additional periodic reporting as requested.
Coordinate with external business partners to ensure reporting accuracy.
