Job summary

University of Texas Investment Management Co (UTIMCO) invites applications for a Major Fund Accounting and Reporting team member in Austin, TX. The role covers a broad range of investment accounting and operations across asset classes, including private investments, hedge funds, and public markets.

You will support monthly closes, valuations, reconciliations, financial statements, and fee calculations, while collaborating across UTIMCO teams to maintain accuracy, transparency, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in public accounting or other financial services accounting role.
• Display understanding of team workflow processes.
• Display working knowledge of applications and technology tools used in team workflow processes.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities.
• Elevated attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills and presence to communicate effectively.
• Collegial team player possessing intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and thoughtfulness.
• Constructive, “can do” attitude committed to consistently doing what is in the best interest of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Fund Accounting and Operations – Monthly accounting close processes, private investment and hedge fund valuation/pricing, monitoring activity, consolidations, and financial statements.
• Organizational Health – Build relationships across UTIMCO teams to foster a positive culture.
• Ad Hoc Project – Participate in special reporting requests as assigned.
