Job summary

CoreCivic in Arkansas is seeking an Investigator to supervise internal investigations within the facility, including staff, contractors, and volunteers. You will collect and preserve evidence, coordinate with the Facility Management, Legal Department, and law enforcement as needed, and provide testimony when required.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree, 2 years of investigation experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two years of investigation experience required.
• Experience in corrections, law enforcement, probation and parole or investigations may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
• Experience with Microsoft Office or other similar software applications required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal investigations of misconduct by staff, including contractors, consultants, and volunteers.
• Investigate grievances, facility incidents, policy violations and felonies committed by inmates and/or staff.
• Serve as liaison to contract partners and law enforcement, sharing information and findings as required.
• Collect and preserve evidence to preclude tampering and contamination.
• Secure and maintain all evidence per policy and local rules.
