The State of Iowa - Executive Branch is seeking an Investigator for the Iowa Insurance Division's Market Regulation Bureau in Des Moines. The role focuses on protecting consumers by investigating and enforcing Iowa insurance and financial security statutes against unlawful market conduct.
You will lead regulatory investigations of licensed individuals and entities, review complaints, and analyze conduct against Iowa codes with support from a team of investigators and analysts.

This crucial position is dedicated to consumer protection by investigating and enforcing Iowa insurance and financial security statutes and regulations against unlawful, incompetent, or dishonest market conduct.

As an Investigator, you will be primarily responsible for regulatory investigations of licensed individuals and business entities.
Qualified applicants will have proven, progressive experience in insurance investigations, regulatory compliance, financial crimes investigation, or a related enforcement field and a strong understanding of insurance and financial security principles, practices, and state regulatory requirements.
Must have the ability to analyze complex business conduct, interpret legal statutes, conduct effective in-person and phone/video interviews, and prepare detailed, well-supported investigative reports.
Preferred certifications include: Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator (CIFI); Fraud Claim Law Associate (FCLA), Senior Claim Law Associate (SCLA) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
