Office of Inspector General in the United States is seeking an Investigator to lead civil and administrative investigations. The role supports Special Agents in criminal investigations and helps train staff across regional and field offices.
The position requires directing investigations, developing training materials, and coordinating with officials inside and outside the Department. A Top Secret clearance is required, with telework eligibility and a three-year term appointment.
This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General, Office of Investigations. Resumes must be no more than 2-pages in length. Term Appointment for three years.
This Investigator vacancy with the Office of Investigations and will be located at an OIG Regional or Field Office nationwide. Duties include but are not limited to: Plans, coordinates, conducts and leads civil and administrative investigations. Support Special Agents in conducting criminal investigations at the direction of the Assistant Special Agent in Charge. Advises staff and acts as a training investigator.
Identify special training needs of staff members and confer with supervisor. Develops training materials and guidelines. Make presentations at regional office meetings and at training conferences for the nationwide investigative staff and other agencies. Coordinates and communicates orally and in writing with officials inside and outside the Department.
Provides program and policy direction necessary to accomplish all investigative work requirements, and to ensure compliance with all legal requirements and OI policies and procedures.

The posted pay range is $115711 – $150426/yr.
This position is eligible for telework.
This position requires a Top Secret security clearance.
