Placer County District Attorney's Office seeks an Investigative Assistant to join the Special Investigations Unit (SIU). The SIU collaborates with county and community partners to identify, prevent, and investigate fraud to safeguard public funds and protect the community.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience as a California Peace Officer or equivalent with a law enforcement agency.
• Three years of civilian field, office clerical or secretarial work in direct support of higher-level law enforcement or private sector management.
• Three years performing public assistance eligibility determination.
• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. Completion of POST certified PC 832 course is desirable.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience: Two years' experience, either as a California Peace Officer as defined by Section 830 of the California Penal Code, or as a Community Service Officer or equivalent position with a law enforcement agency performing crime prevention and other law enforcement related work
• OR
• Three years of experience performing civilian field, office clerical or secretarialwork in direct support of higher-level law enforcement or private sector management.

• Three years performing public assistance eligibility determination.
• Training:Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. Completion of POST certified PC 832 course is desirable.
