Our Centralized Investigations & Audits Unit (CIAU) within our Business and Professions Division (BPD) are currently recruiting for two (2) Investigation Supervisors. These roles are responsible for ensuring high quality, timely investigations while leading staff in a collaborative hybrid work environment and effectively guiding teams through organizational change.
The Department of Licensing (DOL) Business & Professions Division (BPD) has 34 business and professional licensing programs and manages 132 license types. The agency and division’s purpose is "Helping every Washington resident live, work, drive, and thrive." Centralized Investigations and Audits Unit promotes public safety and customer protection through regulation and education. The goal is to provide public safety and welfare in all areas we license and to protect and preserve the investments and properties of the citizens of the state.

As an Investigations Supervisor, you will direct and oversee the day-to-day work of a team of investigators to ensure unit goals and expectations are met. You will lead a group that supports compliance within our Centralized Investigations and Audits Unit (CIAU) to ensure professional business license holders are supported through the investigative process. You will review investigations while ensuring due process and investigative processes are followed and equitable. Your team will rely on your collaborative and proactive leadership to support their caseload and duties as assigned. Being the supervisor of this diverse and multilayered team within DOL, you will develop expectations, collaborate to identify the best practices, offer education and technical assistance to customers and the public, and work to ensure proper standards are met. It will be leadership and development that drives your success in this role.

Two (2) years of relevant education may substitute for one (1) year for experience.
