Job summary

Vireo Health, Inc. in Minnesota is seeking an experienced Inventory Technician to support the Supply Chain Manager by handling picking, packing, and stock control in the warehouse and vault.

You will ensure accurate records, maintain optimal stock levels, and contribute to timely fulfillment for retail locations. This role requires attention to detail, ability to operate inventory systems (BioTrack, METRC, Leaf Logix), and a proactive approach to safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certificates preferred.
  • 1+ years in inventory management or warehouse operations.
  • Familiar with electronic inventory systems and Excel proficiency.
  • Experience with cannabis compliance systems (METRC, BioTrack, Leaf Logix) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute picking, packing, and manifesting of orders for timely fulfillment.
  • Ensure orders are labeled and ready for dispatch according to standards.
  • Conduct cycle counts to verify stock levels and report discrepancies.
  • Update the inventory system with accurate data on movements.
  • Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing goods in warehouse and vault.
  • Support compliance labeling and production kit preparation.
  • Keep storage areas clean, safe, and compliant with regulations.
  • Operate equipment and support deliveries between facilities.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and assist in process improvements.

What the role is about

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Inventory Technician to join our dynamic growing team! The Inventory Technician will support the Supply Chain Manager by performing essential tasks within the inventory management cycle, focusing on accuracy, efficiency, and maintaining optimal stock levels. This role involves handling the picking, packing, and shipping of inventory for retail stores, conducting cycle counts, monitoring inventory movements, and managing stock levels in the warehouse and finished goods vault. The Inventory Technician will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager and other departments to ensure smooth operations and accurate record‑keeping.

Responsibilities
  • Execute picking, packing, and manifesting of orders to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of shipments to retail locations.
  • Ensure orders are packed according to company standards, accurately labeled, and ready for dispatch.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts in the warehouse and other manufacturing areas to verify stock levels and report any discrepancies.
  • Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies.
  • Update the inventory system with accurate data on all inventory movements, including receiving, storing, and shipping activities.
  • Fulfill work order requests for compliance labels.
  • Support the receiving process by inspecting incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and condition.
  • Label and store received goods according to inventory organization standards, ensuring they are accessible and correctly placed within the warehouse or vault.
  • Pick and prepare production kits for the manufacturing teams.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse and vault storage areas, keeping them clean, orderly, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Implement inventory rotation practices (e.g., FIFO) to minimize aging stock and reduce waste.
  • Accurately enter data into the inventory system and conduct periodic reviews to ensure alignment with physical stock levels.
  • Adhere to regulatory and safety guidelines in handling inventory, particularly with sensitive or medicated products.
  • Assist in the maintenance and destruction of product retention samples.
  • Support the Supply Chain Manager in special projects or process improvement initiatives as required.
  • Operate a skid steer or other mechanical equipment.
  • Support raw and finished goods deliveries between cultivation facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certifications in inventory management or supply chain preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or related field.
  • Familiarity with electronic inventory management systems and basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with BioTrack, Leaf Logix, MJ Freeway, METRC, Leafly, Dutchie, etc. preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow processes accurately.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance practices, particularly in handling plants and medicated cannabis inventory, is a plus.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
