KENT WORLDWIDE™ in Muscatine, IA is seeking a detail-oriented team member to support inventory accuracy, material movement, and daily plant operations. You will help keep our operation running smoothly and provide exceptional service to employees, vendors, and contractors.

Responsibilities include receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing materials; maintaining stock records; cycle counting; coordinating freight; and ensuring a clean, safe storeroom.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of storekeeping, inventory control, or related warehouse experience.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and data entry systems.
  • Forklift operation ability and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, unload, store, and distribute materials with accurate inventory records.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through receipt processing, cycle counting, and recordkeeping.
  • Inspect incoming deliveries and coordinate resolutions for damages or discrepancies.
  • Manage stock rotation and handle surplus, obsolete, or damaged materials.
  • Coordinate freight activities and support safe movement of materials throughout the facility.
  • Process and organize stockroom materials including labeling, shelving, and prep for use.
  • Maintain a clean, organized storeroom and uphold safety standards.
  • Demonstrate safety commitment by following policies and promoting safe work practices.

This position is designed and intended to be performed in Muscatine, Iowa.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Receive, inspect, unload, store, and distribute materials while maintaining accurate inventory records and stockroom documentation.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper receipt processing, stock withdrawals, cycle counting, record keeping, and inventory control procedures.
  • Inspect incoming deliveries for damage, discrepancies, or quality concerns and coordinate appropriate resolution and documentation.
  • Manage stock rotation and coordinate the handling, return, transfer, and disposal of surplus, obsolete, or damaged materials.
  • Coordinate freight activities and support the safe movement of materials and equipment throughout the facility.
  • Process and organize stockroom materials, including packing, labeling, pricing, shelving, and preparing items for use across the plant.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe storeroom environment through routine housekeeping and adherence to safety standards.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety by following established policies and procedures, identifying potential hazards, and supporting a culture of safe work practices.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, recordkeeping, or a related warehouse environment with a strong commitment to safe work practices.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management, bookkeeping practices, stockroom operations, and data entry systems, with strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment; valid driver's license required and ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management, and communication skills, with proficiency using common office equipment and inventory-related technology.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds while working safely and following established policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, recognizing it as a core company value, by promoting safe work practices, maintaining an organized work environment, and contributing to a culture where safety is a shared responsibility.
