NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) seeks an Inventory Clerk for the Belle Chasse store. The role supports not-in-stock reviews, inventory SOPs, and price/label integrity while operating in a computerized retail environment.

Part-time schedule, 20–34.5 hours weekly, with a focus on accuracy and timely communications. Responsibilities include researching system errors, assisting with perpetual inventory and planogram procedures, and year-end reconciliation, plus other duties as assigned to

Qualificações

• 2 years of experience in administrative or retail roles.
• 1 year of knowledge in retail store operations and inventory control in a computerized environment.
• Substitution: up to 6 months of education can replace 6 months of experience.

Responsabilidades

• Review shelf Not-in-Stock (NIS) for Retail and Services and ensure adherence to communication strategy.
• Assist with execution and SOP compliance for Perpetual Inventory Management, Planogram, and Price Verification.
• Support Label Integrity and Periodic Inventory activities and year-end reconciliation.
• Use SIM system to research and resolve store process errors (receipts, transfers, replenishment, BOLs, returns).
• Verify and communicate results to ensure objectives and accuracy of operations.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Assists with reviewing shelf Not-in-Stock NIS for Retail and Services businesses and ensuring adherence to communication strategy for NIS merchandise provides assistance in the execution and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures SOPs for Perpetual Inventory Management Planogram Integrity and Price Verification and Label Integrity.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilizing the Store Inventory Management SIM system conducts research to resolve errors related to store system processes to include but not limited to receipts transfers in out replenishment inventory adjustments shipment confirmations BOLs returns to vendor warehouse etc.
• Completed work is reviewed for attainment of objectives technical accuracy and ability to effectively communicate and correct problems.
• Assists with the execution and compliance with the standards defined in the Perpetual Inventory Management SOP.
• Assists with the execution and compliance with the standards defined in the Planogram Integrity SOP.
• Assists with the execution and compliance with the standards defined in the Price Verification and Label Integrity SOP.
• Assists with the execution of periodic and year-end inventories assists with year-end inventory reconciliation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

A total of 2 years of experience consisting of the following GENERAL EXPERIENCE 1 year experience in administrative professional investigative or other responsible work which enabled the applicant to gain a general knowledge in retail or merchandising operations functioning within an automated system environment. AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE 1 year of experience which provided a knowledge of retail store operations processes and familiarity with inventory control methods in a computerized environment knowledge of computer systems and ability to access screens and print documents. OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE One half year of academic study above the high school level may be substituted for each 6 months of 1 year general and 1 year specialized experience.
