Job description

Inventory Support Technician – AWS Outposts

AWS Infrastructure Services designs, builds, and operates the global AWS infrastructure. As an Inventory Support Technician, you will manage spare parts inventory and support supply‑chain operations for AWS Outposts, AWS’s hybrid‑cloud solution for customers. Your role requires swift action, clear communication across time zones, and the ability to juggle multiple time‑sensitive requests while maintaining accuracy and adhering to procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and track purchase orders for data‑center hardware components.
  • Monitor spare parts inventory levels and initiate replenishment orders.
  • Maintain accurate records in internal ordering databases.
  • Execute asset transfers across global locations.
  • Track order approvals and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify and report shipment issues, including delays, cancellations, and expedited requests.
  • Manage shipment label distribution for new equipment and returns.
  • Coordinate with global teams to ensure timely delivery and issue resolution.
Basic Qualifications
  • Experience with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with order processing, purchase‑order systems, ERP, or inventory‑management software.
  • 2+ years of supply‑chain, inventory‑management, or project‑management experience.
  • Track record of implementing process‑improvements in a fast‑paced supply‑chain environment.
