Job Summary:
The Inventory Control Supervisor works with the DC inventory teams and key distribution leadership daily to implement and enforce inventory control systems and processes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Utilize and ensure compliance with BD’s inventory control and warehouse management systems.
  • Translate strategy into operational actions to achieve KPI results.
  • Serve as the SME of inventory control.
  • Develop and implement inventory analysis tools to optimize service, cost, and inventory levels.
  • Lead daily operations of the inventory team.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels while meeting customer expectations.
  • Update procedures, SOPs, and provide training to associates, ensuring adherence to guidelines.
  • Plan work schedules, assign duties, and manage staffing levels effectively.
  • Handle personnel actions and resolve employee issues.
  • Conduct staff meetings on safety, quality, and policy updates.
  • Monitor and enforce Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Ensure safety and proper operating procedures are followed.
  • Assess talent levels and implement development activities.
  • Be knowledgeable of other positions to assist during absences or urgent situations.
  • Work flexible shifts including weekends as required.
  • Lead pick face slotting initiatives and manage module pick faces.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; or
  • Associate degree with 2+ years related experience; or
  • High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years related experience.

Operational experience in FDA, OSHA, GMP/QSR compliance, CPIM, Logistics, Distribution, Import/Export, Process Excellence, Lean, and ISO is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience with FDA, OSHA, GMP/QSR compliance, CPIM, Logistics, and ISO.
  • Knowledge of inventory and warehouse management systems (e.g., JDE, High Jump).
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, listening, and collaboration skills.
  • Project management capabilities.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to supervise and organize work effectively.

Physical Demands: The role involves walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting (over 50 lbs), and operating equipment, with accommodations made for disabilities.

Work Environment: Moderate to loud noise, exposure to mechanical equipment, potential temperature variations, and airborne particles. On-site presence required at least 4 days a week.
