City of Shreveport is seeking a Stock Clerk II to issue tools, parts, equipment and supplies to authorized staff. The role may require driving to source items and involves receiving, stocking, and maintaining inventory records.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and at least one year of inventory/warehouse experience. Familiarity with basic arithmetic and bookkeeping concepts is helpful for daily tasks.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required at time of hire.
• 1 year experience in inventory, warehouse or stockroom roles.
• Ability to type at 20 wpm and apply arithmetic principles (percentages, fractions); proficient with calculator and adding machine; basic double-entry bookkeeping knowledge.

• May drive to source and pick up line items.
• Receive, inventory, post, and stock items on shelves and in storage areas.
• Maintain perpetual inventory or similar records.
• Safeguard against theft or misappropriation.
• Post maintenance/repair data for vehicles and equipment as needed.
• Prepare reports and maintain files and records as directed.
• Help train Stock Clerk I.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
