Job Purpose

Supports the store management team with inventory management, in‑stock availability levels, merchandising standards, expense control and other operational processes to maintain company standards. Increases customer confidence and loyalty by promoting and executing consistent and compliant operating conditions. Provides courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt service. Values diversity and supports an inclusive environment by embracing the backgrounds and experiences of the team.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • OSAT (Availability) – Overall customer satisfaction measured through POS surveys, aiming for a percentage of reward card customers rating their trip an 8, 9, or 10 on a 0‑10 scale in the availability driver questions.
  • SMART – Store Inventory and Ordering management process audit scored on a 1‑5 scale (1 = pass, 2‑3 = opportunity, 4‑5 = fail). Renewals are excluded from audits.
Essential Responsibilities
  • SERVICE (40%) – Creates an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated, increasing confidence and loyalty. Performs daily and weekly store walks, audits, and ensures reports are completed to confirm product in‑stock conditions meet company standards.
  • FINANCIAL (30%) – Completes daily and weekly administrative tasks (communications, online training, etc.). Assists in planning and organizing the inventory process, ensures reclaim, transfers, discards, and date checks are handled to reduce shrink, and reviews excessive back‑stock to determine root cause and correct the data if needed.
  • LEADERSHIP (15%) – Promotes trust and respect among associates by collaborating, encouraging teamwork, and communicating company, department, and job‑specific information. Adheres to all local, state, and federal laws, and company guidelines.
  • COMPLIANCE/SAFETY (15%) – Ensures company standards for safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation, and productivity are maintained. Adheres to regulatory compliance requirements (food safety, USDA & COOL, DOA). Executes all product recalls and withdrawals promptly, ensures safety programs are followed, identifies unsafe conditions to report to management, and maintains hazard assessments and protective equipment.

Environmental Factors

Retail – General Heavy. Physical demands include standing or walking, manual dexterity, repetitive movements, reaching at waist level or overhead, carrying or lifting up to specified weights, occasional kneeling, crouching, or climbing up to 30 ft. Working conditions may involve indoor, outdoor, cold, hot, wet/humid environments. Safety risk factors include twisting back/neck, walking on slippery or cluttered surfaces, working with hazardous equipment, and exposure to sharp objects, loud noise, dust, fumes, sprays, and hazardous cleaning solutions. Required equipment: cleaning supplies, office equipment, register, pricing gun, scales, scanner, material handling equipment. Personal protective equipment: goggles, gloves, back brace. Pulling requirement: 250 lbs. Lifting requirement: 50 lbs.
