Job summary

The Winn-Dixie Company is seeking a store operations team member to support inventory management, maintain in-stock levels, and uphold merchandising standards. You will provide courteous, knowledgeable service and promote an inclusive environment within the store.

Responsibilities include daily store walks, audits, and coordinating reclaim, transfers and date checks to reduce shrink while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines. English fluency required.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Authorized to work in the United States or able to obtain work authorization.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to motivate and collaborate with team.
  • Basic math skills; able to handle daily operating calculations.
  • Proficient with computer applications used for store operations.

Job Summary

Supports the store management team with inventory management, in-stock availability levels, merchandising standards, expense control and other operational processes to maintain company standards. Increases customer confidence and loyalty by promoting and executing consistent and compliant operating conditions. Provides courteous, knowledgeable and prompt service. Creates an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated increasing confidence and loyalty. Performs daily and weekly store walks, audits and ensures reports are completed to confirm product in-stock conditions are at company standards.

Leadership

Completes daily and weekly administrative tasks (communications, online training, etc.) Assists in the planning, and organizing of the inventory process. Ensures reclaim, transfers, discards, and date checks are handled to reduce shrink. Reviews and researches excessive back-stock to determine root cause and correct the data if needed.

Promotes trust and respect among associates by collaborating, promoting teamwork, and communicating company, department, and job specific information. Adheres to all local, state and federal laws, and company guidelines.

Compliance/Safety

Ensures company standards for safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation and productivity are maintained. Adheres to all regulatory compliance requirements pertaining to food safety, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) & Country of Origin Labeling (COOL), and Department of Agriculture (DOA). Executes all product recalls and withdrawals in a timely manner while ensuring all items are secured and removed from customer access. Reinforces safety programs by complying with safety procedures and inspects and identifies unsafe conditions to report to store management. Notifies management of customer or employee accidents. Reports all safety risk, or issues, and illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud. Ensures adherence to wage and hour policies and regulations. Cultivates a culture of safety within the store. Ensures self and all associates are working safely and have received necessary safety training. Ensures Hazardous Assessments are posted for associate reference and that Personal Protective Equipment is available and utilized by all associates executing tasks within the department, as required. Ensures equipment is in good repair; reports and assists with remediation (ex. lock out/tag out of equipment) of safety hazards within the department.
