Job summary

Vireo Health is seeking an Inventory Specialist for our Fort Collins, CO location. This role maintains precise inventory levels, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports retail operations with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

You will perform regular audits, reconcile METRC and POS data, implement FIFO, and assist with labeling and back-room organization to support eCommerce and in-store fulfillment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Experience with ERP and METRC systems is required.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: conduct regular inventory audits with store management and reconcile data in METRC and POS per MED regulations.
  • Quality Control and Compliance: organize inventory, implement FIFO, manage expiring stock, and coordinate with the Store Director.
  • Administrative and Operational Support: match product manifests to inventory, receive products in METRC, and manage pricing and labeling in the POS system.

What the role is about:

The Inventory Specialist plays a key role in maintaining precise inventory levels and upholding compliance with relevant regulations. This position ensures efficient inventory operations and the continuous availability of high-quality products. Through strategic leadership, this role contributes to the smooth functioning of our retail locations while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

What impact you’ll make:
Inventory Management (40%)
  • Conduct regular inventory audits in collaboration with store management.
  • Accurately record inventory data and reconcile discrepancies in METRC and POS systems according to MED laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and resolve inventory discrepancies and collaborate with the retail management team to address issues promptly.
Quality Control and Compliance (30%)
  • Streamline inventory organization to facilitate efficient product retrieval.
  • Implement the First In, First Out model to prevent product expiration.
  • Manage expiring inventory and ensure timely sales in coordination with the Store Director.
  • Maintain product quality in storage.
  • Create labels for back-stock items and maintain in-stock items on store shelves.
  • Optimize back-room organization for eCommerce order fulfillment, labeling, incoming product orders, and storage room accessibility.
Administrative and Operational Support (30%)
  • Ensure accurate matching of product manifests with on-hand inventory and accept or reject manifests as necessary.
  • Receive products in METRC.
  • Import new packages into the POS system with accurate pricing and naming conventions.
  • Transfer products from back stock to the sales floor and adjust pricing tiers as required.
  • Create and print product labels in the POS system, especially for flower strains.

What you’ve accomplished:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Experience with ERP and METRC systems.
Working Conditions (Schedule, Environment, Travel
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Hours will vary based on needs of the business (Nights, Weekends, Holidays to be expected).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge in the state of Colorado.
