Job summary

Cellular Sales is seeking an Inventory Specialist to handle receipt, documentation, and tracking of goods in a fast-paced retail environment. You will communicate with the Inventory Manager about issues, adjust records, and keep up with changing priorities while ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

This non-exempt, full-time role offers a starting hourly wage of $17–$18, with opportunities to contribute to a growing team that values diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Retail experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
• Full-time schedule with standard hours, some evenings during launches

Responsibilities

• Support Inventory Supervisor and team in daily operations
• Verify inbound and outbound shipments against records and invoices
• Record shipment data, weight, charges, and space availability
• Determine shipping methods and route materials within the store
• Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies
• Maintain proper stock levels and rotate stock as needed

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/ObjectiveHandle the receipt, documentation, and tracking of goods. Communicate with Inventory Manager regarding issues or status of merchandise. Be flexible to support changing priorities and needs. Compensation starting between $17-$18 an hour, depending on experience.

Essential Functions

• Provide support for Inventory Supervisor
• Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
• Compare merchandise invoices to items actually received to ensure that shipments are correct.
• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
• Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Deliver or route materials to departments.
• Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping.
• Confer or correspond with appropriate person(s) to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
• Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies.
• Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, or storage.
• Ensure proper stock levels in stores
• Understand warranty/returns policy per vendor
• Date and rotate product
• Clean and maintain the inventory closet
• Conduct physical inventory of the inventory closet
• Move inventory around in the market
• Help with RA process
