Job summary

ERock is seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Coordinator to support O&M and Procurement through inventory coordination, shipping, and receiving. The role involves extensive travel to remote warehouses (approx. 85%) to perform inventory actions and physical counts, while ensuring safety and accuracy of stock.

Qualified candidates will have 4+ years in warehouse coordination, forklift and crane experience, and strong communication skills. Proficiency with Smartsheet and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years' experience in Warehouse Coordination / Inventory control.
  • Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Crane Operator / Rigging experience a plus
  • Forklift operator experience.
  • Knowledge of Security / Safety operations and procedures.
  • Capable of immediately responding to emergencies to provide necessary assistance.
  • Effective written and oral communications.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and coordinate with other areas to achieve goals and objectives with minimum direct supervision.
  • Ability to manage time and complete tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Must maintain a valid state issued driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Guarantee inventory integrity through enforcement of inventory management policies.
  • Mark stock items using labeling equipment.
  • Receive and count stock items, arrange dispatching, and maintain up-to-date inventory counts.
  • Learn to run inventory reports and investigate discrepancies.
  • Store items in warehouses and related areas in an orderly fashion.
  • Communicate with inventory personnel to rectify issues like damage or shortages.
  • Pack/unpack items and stock shelves or stockrooms.
  • Verify accuracy of incoming/outgoing shipments against records.
  • Prepare shipping documents and route materials domestically as needed.
  • Record shipment data for reporting and accounting.
  • Maintain shop areas to meet safety standards.
  • Collaborate with safety to repair or replace tools as needed.
  • Operate forklifts and cranes safely; handle rigging as required.
  • Coordinate with technicians to ensure proper authorization before releasing parts.
  • Communicate effectively in a dynamic, independent or team setting.
  • Complete necessary certification training for equipment usage.
  • Daily/weekly shop and work-area cleaning.

Role Overview

We are looking to hire a detailed-oriented, driven, and resourceful professional to help the shipping, receiving, and inventory responsibilities to support the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and Procurement groups with inventory coordination, shipping, receiving, and other responsibilities to allow safe and efficient inventory operations. This role will help warehouse / inventory operations while creating a safe environment, maintaining quality and minimizing unnecessary costs. This role also requires approximately 85% travel to remote warehouses for inventory actions, and physical counting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Helping all shipping/receiving operations and guarantee inventory integrity through enforcement of inventory management policies.
  • Helping mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
  • Receiving and count stock items, arrange dispatching of parts and record data manually or using a computer keeping an up-to-date Inventory count and maintains critical spares inventory at or above minimum allowed quantity.
  • Learning to run inventory reports by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
  • Storing items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
  • Checking parts received. Communicating with shop inventory person to rectify problems, such as damage, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
  • Packing and unpacking items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
  • Examining contents and comparing them with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments.
  • Learning to prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials to domestic locations as needed.
  • Helping record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
  • Cleaning and maintaining supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Working with the safety department to report, repair and replace broken tools.
  • Being responsible for the safe shipping/loading and receiving/unloading of all items utilizing equipment that are manual, motorized, or other in nature.
  • Operating forklift for uploading and offloading parts.
  • Operating the crane and rigging as needed.
  • Interfacing with technicians and other team members that request parts and make sure that they have the appropriate authorization prior to releasing.
  • Effectively communicating with others and can work both independently and on a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Completing and perform necessary certification (and recertification if necessary) training to utilize equipment as required to perform job function.
  • Being responsible for daily/weekly cleaning of the shop and work area.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements

  • Must maintain a valid state issued driver's license.
  • Physical requirements and working conditions: Must possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and to use standard warehouse equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry 50 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. Frequent standing, walking, and extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • This position requires operating a company vehicle. Candidates must have and maintain a valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record. A pre-employment MVR check is required, and the employee must remain insurable under the company's liability insurance policy to continue employment.
Physical Qualifications
  • This role requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work in confined spaces or at heights, and operate in varied environmental conditions. The position may involve extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting, as well as potential exposure to loud noises, heat, outdoor elements, or other occupational hazards. Some work may occur in industrial environments where strict safety protocols must be followed.
