Job summary

Rust-Oleum is seeking a Sales and Inventory Analyst in Vernon Hills, IL to join our Supply Chain team. You will monitor inventory levels across five distribution centers, balance service levels with inventory investment, and support planning activities with accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities include analyzing stock levels, reviewing schedules and POs, generating STOs, and creating reports to track performance. A strong ERP background and Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in supply chain planning, logistics or a related role.
• Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and Microsoft Office.
• Data gathering and quantitative/qualitative data analysis linked to KPIs.
• Commercial awareness with understanding of manufacturing to end consumer.
• Well-organized with high attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to convey issues impacting customer service.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current inventory levels at distribution centers and plants, identify deficiencies and corrections (STO).
• Review production schedules, open purchase orders, and process orders to improve service and balance inventory.
• Maintain inventory at distribution centers to maximize service level toward 98.6%.
• Communicate with distribution centers and plants to ensure shipments are leaving, arriving, and unloading timely.
• Review open STOs to ensure they are not past due.
• Create reports to track STOs, measure in-transit times and other KPIs.
• Determine if shipments should move via Rail or Over the Road to balance service and cost.
