Job summary

Fayette Parts Service Inc. is seeking an Inventory Returns Clerk Associate to move parts from our warehouse and stores to distribution centers. You will pull, stage, load and ship freight, process returns and corrections, and handle packing materials.

The role includes traveling to stores with a company vehicle and performing safety-aware warehousing tasks. You should enjoy fast-paced warehouse environments, collaborate with a team, and be available 7AM-3PM Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience in a distribution center/warehouse environment is required.
• Familiarity with RF scanning equipment is a plus but not mandatory.
• Able to lift/move parts up to 75 pounds with proper aids.
• Comfortable using hand trucks, dollies, pallet jacks and other gear.
• Able to bend, squat, reach high shelves and work quickly and safely.
• Capable of reading and following written instructions and noting part numbers.

Responsibilities

• Expedite outgoing freight to NAPA distribution centers; pull, stage, load and ship.
• Process inventory corrections and finalize return paperwork.
• Pull orders from worksheets and ensure accurate handling.
• Clean and dispose of packing materials when worksheets are complete.
• Operate warehouse equipment per safety procedures.
• Verify documentation and reports are complete and accurate.
• Travel to stores using company-provided vehicle.

Job description

We are a Parts Store and SO much more and we are looking for even more great talent to join our NAPA family! We have lots of parts available to our customers and in this role as a Inventory Returns Clerk Associate you will play a major part in getting these parts from our warehouse/stores to our distribution centers. Think about how great you will feel in knowing that you play a vital role in keeping our inventory rotation fresh!

What you’ll be doing:

• Expedite outgoing freight to our NAPA Distribution Centers Warehouse. You will pull, stage, load and ship freight.
• Process inventory corrections and finalize return paperwork.
• Pulls all orders from worksheets provided.
• Cleans up and disposes boxes, packing material, and pallets, when worksheets are complete.
• Operate warehouse machinery in accordance with established safety procedures as needed to maintain the warehouse stock.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• You will be traveling from store to store with a company provided vehicle.

What you’ll need:

• Previous experience in a distribution center and/or warehouse environment – Awesome if you have ever used RF scanning equipment - Not a deal breaker if you don’t have this.
• Capable of lifting and moving parts of up to 75 pounds.
• Able to utilize equipment with moving aids designed to move such items, including hand trucks, dollies, motorized carts, pallet jacks, etc.
• Able to repeatedly bend or stoop to ground level shelves and be able to reach upper shelves (8 feet) with the use of stool or ladder when necessary.
• Understanding and recognizing part numbers and line codes to ensure proper identification of parts for placement in the facility, including identifying sequence of numbers and letters accurately and rapidly.
• Basic understanding and capable of operating a computer terminal.
• Able to write legibly and be able to read, understand written/verbal instructions, and communicate to other team members.
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, climb, push and pull and move at a quick speed of pace
• Must be able to work in a drug free atmosphere.
