Job summary

Durex Industries is seeking a material handler to receive and verify shipments, count and weigh items, and ensure accurate inventory records. You will operate a forklift, stage materials, and support local deliveries to vendors, contributing to production readiness and on-time manufacturing.

The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and independent work ethic. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years of material handling, and basic computer skills with Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years material handling experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Comfort with scales and rulers; basic math.
• Proficient with Word and Excel; MRP exposure a plus.
• Clear communicator who can work independently.
• Safety- and quality-focused, dependable, organized.
• Forklift operation experience and licensed if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Receive purchase orders and materials with precision; verify quantities and part numbers.
• Inspect, count, weigh, or measure items and reconcile against orders.
• Process receipts in the computer system and assign materials to locations.
• Conduct cycle counts and adjust inventory records.
• Operate a forklift safely to move and stage materials.
• Pick orders and assemble kits for production requests.
• Transport materials to and from a local vendor using a company vehicle.
• Load and unload vendor deliveries and verify accuracy.
• Tidy aisles and maintain inventory records.
