Royal Key Supply is a fast-growing B2B e-commerce distributor serving the automotive
locksmith industry. With thousands of products, a growing customer base, and an expanding supplier network, keeping the right inventory in stock is critical to our operation. We are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator who is organized, analytical, proactive, and
comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
This is not simply a data-entry purchasing position. You will play an active role in managing
purchase orders, monitoring inventory needs, communicating with suppliers, tracking
incoming product, resolving discrepancies, and helping ensure we have the inventory
needed to support continued growth.
Compensation Range: $49,000-$55,000 annually
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned product categories and vendors, taking ownership of inventory availability, replenishment, and purchasing needs.
- Analyze inventory levels, sales velocity, lead times, and demand trends to determine purchasing frequency by vendor.
- Build and execute replenishment plans to maintain healthy stock levels while minimizing excess and slow-moving inventory.
- Prepare and place purchase orders based on inventory analysis, forecasts, supplier lead times, and purchasing targets.
- Monitor stockout risks and proactively respond to changing demand, supplier delays, and unexpected sales trends.
- Coordinate purchasing priorities across Product Management, Receiving, Warehouse, and other departments.
- Monitor supplier performance, including lead times, fill rates, pricing changes, shortages, and recurring issues.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, quantity breaks, alternative sourcing, improved lead times, and vendor consolidation.
- Analyze product and vendor performance and provide purchasing recommendations based on findings.
- Track and report purchasing metrics, including inventory availability, stockouts, open POs, supplier lead times, and purchasing spend.
- Identify inconsistencies and help develop purchasing processes that improve accuracy, efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years' experience in purchasing, procurement, distribution or a related role.
- Previous experience managing purchase orders, inventory replenishment, or vendor relations.
- Familiar with wholesale distribution, e-commerce, automotive parts, or another high-SKU inventory environment is strongly preferred
