Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to manage day-to-day purchasing and inventory governance for 5,000+ components across 40+ manufacturing locations. The role focuses on Lean-driven inventory optimization to prevent overstock and stockouts, while ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and strong KPI performance.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in supply planning, scheduling, procurement, or logistics, and is proficient with SAP, JDA/Blue Yonder, Tableau, Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a relevant field; strong analytical skills.
• Experience in supply planning, scheduling, inventory control, procurement, or logistics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of raw materials and maintain inventory controls to meet KPIs.
• Analyze data for raw material procurement S&OPs and track open actions.
• Analyze packaging procurement data for Tier 3 meetings and close actions.
• Implement component changes, BOM updates, and runouts; manage material creation/changes.
• Monitor DOH vs targets; perform root-cause analysis for misses.
• Perform SLOB analysis and disposition recommendations.
• Review and tune MRP settings, lead times, lot sizes, and coverage.
• Track open POs, address past-due items and escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with plant ops, scheduling, and materials managers to prevent supply issues; act as first point of contact for material questions.
• Request material transfers as needed.

This role within the Supply Chain Planning organization will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day purchasing and inventory governance of over 5,000 individual packaging components across 40+ manufacturing locations. This role will be focused on implementation of strategic efforts to ensure the company operates at optimal inventory levels by employing Lean principles to prevent overstock and stock-out situations. Primary responsibilities include:

• Work to ensure timely delivery of all required raw materials
• Work to ensure inventory control procedures are followed and inventory control is maintained to achieve KPI targets
• Conduct data analysis to be presented for raw material procurement S&Os and complete open action items
• Conduct data analysis to be presented for packaging procurement Tier 3 meetings and complete open action items
• Execute component changes, BOM updates, and runout plans. Request/execute material creation/changes
• Track inventory DOH vs target for assigned categories and perform root-cause analysis for misses
• Perform SLOB Materials analysis and recommend disposition
• Review and maintain MRP settings for assigned packaging items/categories/plants including SS settings, lot sizes, coverage periods, and lead times
• Monitor and maintain open POs with accurate quantities and delivery dates. Review past-due POs and remedy or elevate as necessary
• Coordinate with plant operations, scheduling, and materials managers to preempt material supply issues. Serve as first POC for plant material questions/concerns
• Request material transfers as needed

Qualifications:

• BA/BS from an accredited university (Supply Chain, Finance/Accounting, Management, Operations, Logistics, preferred)
• 4+ years of experience that includes aspects of supply planning, demand planning, scheduling, inventory control, procurement, manufacturing or logistics.
• Ability to effectively analyze and distill large data sets into actionable findings and communicate those findings to managers and directors in the Supply Chain Planning organization
• Demonstrated ability to perform work independently and to achieve desired results without direct supervision and step‑by‑step instructions
• Demonstrates strong project management, planning, organization and cross‑functional skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent with SAP, JDA/Blue Yonder & Tableau.
• Excellent with Excel and PowerPoint
