Qualifications

• High school diploma and any additional courses or equivalent experience.
• Four to six years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of warehouse, distribution, inventory control and shipping/receiving practices.
• Ability to learn and use PC-based applications related to this area.
• Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records of material movement.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal customers.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jacks, scales, reel counters).
• Ability to lead a wide variety of warehouse personnel.
• Certifications and/or licenses as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide task leadership and technical expertise to material handlers for inventory movement.
• Receive, ship, count, pack, rotate stock, identify parts and determine shelf life.
• Ensure timely and accurate movement and control of inventory in assigned area.
• Balance staffing within area to meet output goals.
• Monitor performance and audit transaction accuracy; report results.
• Prepare shipping documents and labels; schedule pickups and coordinate with carriers.
• Verify items against orders and packing lists; inspect deliveries.
• Resolve issues with purchasing on delivery paperwork and discrepancies.
• Generate reports to illustrate process effectiveness.
• Identify and propose solutions for processing problems.
