Job summary

Harvard Bioscience, a leading developer and manufacturer of life science technologies, is seeking a Materials Handler for our St. Paul, MN location.

Primary duties include monitoring and maintaining inventory control, receiving and stocking production materials, and assisting with picking, packing and shipping to fulfill customer orders. The role involves cycle counting to ensure accuracy, replenishing Kanban stock, and maintaining a safe, organized warehouse.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in a materials, shipping and receiving, or warehouse environment.
• Experience using JD Edwards and/or other ERP systems.
• Ability to work well in a team and coordinate with different functional areas.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with varying priorities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming materials and production components.
• Store, organize, and issue materials to support production and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels.
• Perform cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Replenish Kanban inventory to ensure materials are available at use points.
• Pick, pack, and prepare finished products for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment.
• Support other departments as needed.
