Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Inventory Material Control Support Level 2 for the 1st shift in Commerce, CA. You will compile records, verify material flow, and perform ERP-based inventory transactions to support non-recurring programs and shop-floor activities.

The role requires a High School diploma, 1–2 years shipping/inventory, and experience with SAP or Costpoint and Microsoft Office. Forklift certification and a valid CA driver’s license are preferred; you will ensure accurate packaging,

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
1–2 years shipping, receiving, and/or inventory experience.
Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Ability to move parts weighing up to 50 lbs with pallet jack or similar equipment.
Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Costpoint, or similar enterprise systems.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.)

Responsibilities

Kits parts per Bill of Materials.
Completes bills of lading using forms required by major freight carriers.
Perform Inventory Transactions within ERP system.
Ensure electronic relocation transactions are completed in ERP when physical movements of items are performed.
Interprets packing slips, enters information into the computer, and acknowledges receipt of goods in the purchase order and processing database.
Knowledge of proper packaging methods and ability to interpret visual aids outlining specific packaging requirements.
