Job summary

Assurant in Irving, TX is seeking a hands-on lead to supervise and train the team, monitor production performance, and ensure quality controls are met according to work instructions. The role supports supervisors and works Monday-Thursday from 5:30 pm to 4:00 am.

You will operate shop floor systems, participate in stand-up meetings, track KPI/SLA, manage attendance, and coach associates. Forklift certification may be required for this area of responsibility.

• Lead or supervisory experience in manufacturing and/or warehouse environment is required.
• Training environment experience is preferred.
• Forklift certification if needed for area of responsibility.
• Must be proficient and certified in the area that they are responsible for leading.

Responsibilities

• Work with Supervisor to reallocate resources (people/supplies/products etc.) as needed to meet customer goals.
• Track and maintain daily attendance roster for Emergency Evacuation purposes.
• Monitor KPI and SLA performance levels and escalate issues to supervisor when needed.
• Train and coach associates as needed.
• Complete daily reports and compile/analyze data.

Job Overview

This job is responsible for working with the Supervisors and assisting in training and developing the team, monitoring production performance, ensuring production and quality controls are met while adhering to the work instructions for the area of responsibility. This role is based at our Irving, TX location with a schedule of Monday-Thursday from 5:30 pm to 4:00 am

Duties and Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of shop floor systems (CVision, Oracle, Unit Tracker, Great Plains, Ghost)
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings with Supervisor
• Participate in internal and external customer or vendor meetings
• Work with Supervisor to reallocate resources (people/supplies/products etc.) as needed to meet customer goals
• Work with other departments as needed to ensure proper workflow is achieved
• Point of contact for employees for handling escalation issues
• Work with Engineering to identify and resolve process issues
• Ability to collaborate with other departments with their area of responsibility
• Track and maintain daily attendance roster for Emergency Evacuation purposes
• Participate with the 6S Audit team on monthly 6S audits
• Work with supervisor to implement any changes or adjustments on production floor as a result from the audits
• Forklift certified if needed for area of responsibility
• Perform on-the-job (OJT) refresher training and workstation assessment
• Monitor inventory levels (WIP Aging) for specific area of responsibility
• Monitor KPI and SLA performance levels and escalating any issues/concerns to supervisor when needed
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
• Must be proficient and certified in the area that they are responsible for leading
• Compile and analyze data
• Complete daily reports
• Train and coach associates as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of lead or supervisory experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment

Additional Helpful Skills / Experience

• Prior leadership experience in manufacturing, logistics, operations, or another applicable environment is preferred
• Ability to collaborate with other departments within their area of responsibility
• Training environment experience
• Forklift certified if needed for area of responsibility
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
• Must be proficient and certified in the area that they are responsible for leading

Pay Range

Pay Range: $17.34 - $27.75

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
