Job summary

Oratomic, Inc. in Pasadena, CA is seeking an inventory manager / material handler to own the flow of equipment from the loading dock to the lab. You will keep inventory records, maintain a well-organized stockroom, and ensure critical components are available when needed.

You will lift up to 50 lbs, work with a collaborative team of scientists and engineers, receive freight, unpack and stage sensitive hardware, and assist with installation of equipment as part of building a quantum computer.

Qualifications

• Current forklift certification or ability to certify before start.
• Comfortable with sustained physical work, lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Own the flow of equipment from loading dock to lab and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Maintain a well-organized stockroom and monitor/replenish components.
• Receive freight, unpack, stage hardware, and assist with equipment installation.
• Work closely with scientists and engineers to ensure needed items are on hand.

Job description

We’re looking for an inventory manager / material handler to own the flow of equipment from the loading dock to the lab - keeping inventory records, maintaining a well-organized stockroom, monitoring and replenishing stocks of components, receiving freight, unpacking and staging sensitive hardware, and assisting with installation of equipment. You’ll work closely with a team of scientists and engineers to make sure everything needed to build a quantum computer is on hand, findable, and ready when it’s needed.

• Works well in a highly collaborative team environment
• Current forklift certification, or ability to certify before start
• Comfortable with sustained physical work: lifting up to 50 lbs, standing most of a shift, ladders and lifts

Compensation

• $120,000-$170,000/year depending on experience
