Misfits Market is seeking an Inventory Lead in Walnut, California. You will play a crucial role in supporting the on-time delivery of customer orders while maintaining accurate inventory records.

Your responsibilities will include coordinating product movements, conducting inventory audits, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and should be comfortable in refrigerated environments. The position offers a pay rate of $21.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience or comfort in a refrigerated environment (36 degrees).
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with receiving, packing, and shipping teams to ensure seamless product movement.
• Conducts regular cycle counts and inventory audits for accuracy.
• Enforces FIFO practices to maintain product quality.

How you’ll support our operations:

At Misfits Market, our customers choose us for what we - quite literally - bring to the table: foods that may look a little different but are still fresh and safe to eat. As an Inventory Lead, your role is pivotal in supporting the on-time delivery of all customer orders from the FC. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the efficient flow of products throughout the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with receiving, packing, and shipping teams to ensure seamless movement of products within the Fulfillment Center. Identifies and resolves inventory‑related issues promptly to prevent disruptions.
• Supports the maintenance of optimum stock levels by ensuring accurate documentation in our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Conducts regular cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain real‑time accuracy in inventory records. Coordinates with warehouse leadership to schedule counts without disrupting daily operations.
• Enforces FIFO (First‑In‑First‑Out) practices in the warehouse to ensure product quality and freshness for our customers.
• Provides guidance, feedback, and support to ensure their team understands and adheres to our standard operating procedures.
• Trains new Inventory associates.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies related to food safety, quality control, and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience or comfort with working in a refrigerated environment (36 degrees).
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime and/or possible weekends if the business needs you to.
• Ability to thrive in a repetitive and fast‑paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Nice‑to‑have Qualifications
