The Inventory Handler/Picker supports manufacturing operations by picking, staging, replenishing, storing, and controlling inventory maintained within the stockroom. This position focuses on supplying production with the correct parts and quantities, maintaining organized stockroom locations, and supporting inventory accuracy.

Main Tasks

• Pick stockroom inventory accurately for production orders and material requests.
• Stage picked inventory for manufacturing operations and designated production areas.
• Replenish stockroom inventory locations and production point-of-use locations as needed.
• Deliver and transfer stockroom inventory between designated stockroom and production locations.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and inventory locations during picking, staging, replenishment, and returns.
• Return unused or excess production materials to the correct stockroom inventory location.
• Report shortages, damaged materials, incorrect locations, and inventory discrepancies.
• Support cycle counts, physical inventories, location audits, and inventory accuracy activities.
• Maintain accurate labeling, organization, housekeeping, and proper storage within stockroom areas.
• Provide backup support to receiving, parts fulfillment, and shipping activities when needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

• 1+ year of stockroom, warehouse, inventory, picking, or material handling experience preferred.
• Experience using ERP/MRP or barcode inventory systems preferred.

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to accurately identify part numbers, quantities, and inventory locations.
• Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
• Ability to follow pick lists, production orders, and standard work instructions.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Ability to organize work and respond to changing production priorities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Forklift or powered industrial truck experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting, bending, reaching, and material handling.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required.
• Ability to work within stockroom, warehouse, receiving, shipping, and manufacturing environments as applicable.
