Job summary

OC Staffing and HR Solutions is hiring an Inventory Forklift Operator in our New Jersey distribution center. Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with a pay range of $20–$22 per hour.

You will manage inventory movement, pick/pack orders, and support shipping and receiving while maintaining a safe, organized warehouse. The role requires experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment, proficiency with WMS, basic math for counts and weights, and strict adherence to OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing inventory movement, ensuring accurate order picking, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. Your expertise with various heavy equipment and warehouse management systems will help streamline operations, support shipping and receiving processes, and uphold safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced distribution center while developing your skills in materials handling and equipment operation.

Duties

• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse
• Pick and pack orders accurately using order picker equipment and warehouse management system (WMS) software
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation
• Conduct routine equipment inspections, perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for mechanical issues to ensure safe operation
• Maintain organized storage areas by stacking pallets safely and managing inventory locations efficiently
• Support warehouse distribution tasks by handling materials with precision, ensuring proper placement and retrieval of stock
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines at all times to promote a secure work environment for yourself and colleagues

Skills

• Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing
• Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes including shipping & receiving, order picking, and materials handling
• Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting minor issues
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, weight measurements, and load calculations
• Excellent understanding of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety practices
• Previous experience in warehouse supervision or leadership roles is a plus but not required
