Job summary

Sysco Atlanta, LLC is seeking a detail‑oriented Will-call Clerk/inventory clerk to support cycle counts and inventory control at our Atlanta facility. You will count stock, verify quantities, research discrepancies, and assist with the product recall process.

This role also covers quality checks, FIFO rotation, and coordinating will-call orders on Saturdays. A high school diploma and about one year in a warehouse setting are preferred; strong written and verbal communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience in warehouse or inventory roles encouraged.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate clearly.
• Strong math and counting skills for cycle counts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure inventory count integrity through cycle counting and related tasks.
• Cycle counts performed quarterly to identify discrepancies.
• Perform quality checks on date-sensitive and slow-moving items.
• Investigate weight variances and issues from warehouse moves.
• Monitor FIFO rotation for proper stock handling.
• Verify reserve pallet counts and accuracy of transfers.
• Validate put-away and transfer processes for day/night staff.
• Document product transfers from cooler to freezer.
• Review management reports and investigate shrink causes.
• Coordinate will-call orders when scheduled.
• Support product recall processes as needed.
