Job summary

Lippert Components in Indiana is seeking an Inventory Analyst to monitor warehouse inventory and perform cycle counting to ensure accuracy. You will verify material receipts, transfers, and issues and support counting of raw materials and finished goods.

The role requires attention to detail, data accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Travel is minimal and safety is emphasized.

Qualifications

  • One year of factory related experience in shipping and receiving.
  • Relevant warehouse experience within the last 5 years.
  • Recent experience with Cycle counting/inventory.
  • Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, while keeping correct data.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory integrity.
  • Maintain product identification and location program.
  • Research inventory discrepancies and ability to reconcile them.
  • Cycle counts raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and non-conforming materials daily.
  • Utilize Factory Talk to process cycle counts on bulk raw materials.
  • Utilize MAWM software to process cycle counts, review on-hand inventory, current activity, and past activity.
  • Ensure materials are in proper locations.
  • Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand.
  • Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products to supervision - publish monthly and quarterly inventory metrics
  • Communicate and develop process enhancements as needed (performs root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommends process improvements to eliminate them)
  • Assist in receiving and put away process for new raw materials and packaging.
  • Assist in transfers to and from production area.
  • Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure proper and full-time use of PPE.
  • Conform to all quality and safety procedures.
  • Organized thought process with high attention to detail with ability to produce accurate results, effective prioritization to meet scheduled deadlines, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Wellness offerings Summary

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified to be reflective of reported inventory. Duties also include miscellaneous stores/stockroom activities to maintain inventory accuracy through proper processing of material receipts, transfers, and issues.


Essential Functions


  1. Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity.

  2. Maintain product identification and location program.

  3. Research inventory discrepancies and ability to reconcile them.

  4. Have strong verbal and written skills

  5. Cycle counts raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and non-conforming materials daily.

  6. Utilize Factory Talk to process cycle counts on bulk raw materials.

  7. Utilize MAWM software to process cycle counts, review on-hand inventory, current activity, and past activity.

  8. Ensure materials are in proper locations. Conducts searches in order to locate misclassified inventory.

  9. Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand. Weigh and mark product displaying remaining product left.

  10. Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products to supervision - publish monthly and quarterly inventory metrics

  11. Communicate and develop process enhancements as needed (performs root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommends process improvements to eliminate them)

  12. Assist in receiving and put away process for new raw materials and packaging. (item attributes)

  13. Assist in transfers to and from production area. (extra parts)

  14. Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.

  15. Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures and guidelines.

  16. Ensure proper and full-time use of PPE.

  17. Conform to all quality and safety procedures.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to count and record findings. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, crouching, carrying items, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee may have to lift and/or move items up to 70 pounds and consistently 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, hours of work and days are decided by production and your Manager.


Travel

Travel would be very minimal, if any, and would be primarily local during the business day.


Required Experience


  1. One year of factory related experience in shipping and receiving.
