Job summary

Barrett Distribution Centers is seeking an ICQA Associate II to ensure inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts and meticulous auditing of inbound/outbound shipments. The role reports to the ICQA Manager/Supervisor and runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM in Curtis Bay, Maryland.

The position offers $18.50 per hour with responsibilities including identifying discrepancies, documenting findings, and maintaining data integrity in warehouse systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year cycle counter experience in warehouse/distribution.
• Knowledge of lean concepts is preferred.
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide with whole numbers/fractions/decimals.
• Must read/write/communicate effectively in English; bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cycle counts and audit shipments to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Identify, research, document, and resolve discrepancies; escalate as needed.
• Verify quantity by counting across cartons, bundles, and containers.
• Maintain accurate product identification, location, and lot codes in systems.
• Support SOP procedures for inventory transactions; report accuracy findings.
• Assist with inventory projects and operate PIV equipment as needed.

The Position

The ICQA Associate II reports to the ICQA Manager/Supervisor and is responsible for inventory cycle counting, tracking, and monitoring inventory within the warehouse.

This position works Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

The compensation for this position is $18.50/hour.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Perform daily cycle counts and audit inbound/outbound shipments to maintain inventory accuracy and quality
• Identify, research, document, and resolve inventory discrepancies; elevate to facility leadership as needed
• Verify quantity on hand by physically inspecting and counting product across cartons, bundles, and containers
• Maintain accurate product identification, location, and lot code data in appropriate systems
• Support associates in following SOP procedures for inventory transactions
• Report verbally and in writing on inventory accuracy and discrepancy findings
• Assist with special inventory projects as directed; operate PIV equipment as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Forklift certification strongly preferred
• Minimum of one year’s experience as a cycle counter in a warehouse/distribution setting; experience conducting process audits on inbound and outbound shipments
• Knowledge of Lean concepts preferred
• Working knowledge of warehouse management systems preferred
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (Bilingual Spanish/English skills preferred)
• Basic math skills—add, subtract, multiply, and divide with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
• Must be able to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Excellent time‑management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a high‑paced, stressful environment
