Job summary

Core-Mark International is hiring a Slot Coordinator in Hayward, CA to manage SKU inventory by designating correct locations and ensuring efficient slotting in dry/cooler/freezer areas. You will analyze data and coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, transportation and inventory teams to optimize product flow.

The role requires 6+ months in warehousing and admin support, strong math, AS/400 familiarity or ability to learn, and proficiency with Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 6+ months of warehouse/inventory experience.
• 6+ months of Administrative Assistance Experience.
• Strong math skills (addition/subtraction/division/multiplication).
• Prior experience with AS 400 or the ability to learn to use these programs.
• Computer proficient with strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Inspects all pick slots for inventory accuracy and maintains pick slot integrity including counts, ti-hi's, cubing, etc.
• Initiates and manages the setup of slotting new items; analyzes slot and product dimension requirements.
• Reports inventory adjustments, locations of empty slots and related information to departments promptly.
• Analyzes reports to resolve slotting issues and verify slot contents and counts; uses data to optimize slotting.
• Ensures data is updated routinely to enable informed decision making across departments.
• Maintains pick slot efficiency and performs housekeeping duties; secures equipment and completes paperwork at end of shift.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Details

• Monday - Friday
• 6:00AM - 2:30PM
• Starting Pay: $25.00 hour depending on experience

Position Purpose

The Slot Coordinator is responsible for item (SKU) inventory management by designating correct locations to optimize the flow of product selection and to ensure accurate product inventory management. Ensures that all products are located in appropriate pick slots in the correct warehouse departments (dry/cooler/freezer). Ensures that all product is ergonomically slotted to reduce personal injury and/or product damage. This position works to find solutions to slotting inefficiencies by analyzing data with various spreadsheet/software applications. Requires ability to professionally and effectively interface between purchasing, warehouse, transportation and inventory departments. This role will function as a team member within the department and across functions, as required, and perform any other duties assigned to best serve the company's internal and external customers.

• Analyzes variety of reports/data to effectively resolve slotting issues and verify slot contents and counts. Routinely reviews inventory movement and effectiveness of slot locations. Uses systems and data to slot items correctly by cubic movement and weight to minimize number of replenishments, increase productivity and minimize potential for personal injury and product damage.
• Ensures all data is updated routinely and timely to allow for informed and effective decision making across all departments.
• Inspects and maintains pick slot efficiency and effectiveness to ensure optimal performance.
• Performs general housekeeping duties in work area as needed. Secures all equipment and completes all necessary paperwork at end of shift.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
