Placements24 is seeking a diligent Inventory Controller for our client, a growing manufacturing company in Welkom, Free State. You will maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment.

The role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with ERP systems and Excel. You will work closely with production and logistics teams to optimize stock and reduce costs, while enforcing inventory policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in inventory control or warehousing.

• A relevant qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using the company's inventory management system.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to verify stock accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
• Monitor stock levels and reorder points, coordinating with procurement to ensure timely replenishment.
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and recommend appropriate actions.
• Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
• Assist in the receiving and dispatch processes as needed to ensure data integrity.
• Prepare inventory reports for management, highlighting key metrics and potential issues.
