Position Type: Full Time
Shift/Schedule: 1st Shift, 6am to 2:30pm – Monday through Friday with overtime
Wage: $20.00 - $22.00/hr
Purpose of Position: Maintain and monitor inventory levels and product movement for accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Production Support: Coordinate product and packaging material inventory use; perform inventory audits and cycle counts as required; coordinate, problem solve, and communicate inventory issues to customers, vendors, and the Production Planner; coordinate the product recoup operation; backfill on production lines as needed.
- Safety: Follow established Dock Safety policies; complete Daily Inspection sheets for motorized equipment; report all equipment malfunctions to management; wear PPE as required; follow safety and SOPs.
- Quality: Collect samples when requested by customers; work with the Production Planner to coordinate packaging material changes; resolve quality issues with customers/vendors/Production Planner; follow SOPs and customer work instructions.
- Initiative: Interface directly with customers; maintain professional relationships; respond to customer requests within an hour with estimated completion times; escalate customer complaints to management as needed.
- Appearance and Conduct: Maintain appropriate appearance and dress per dress code; communicate professionally and accurately; share information to support informed decisions.
Position Competency
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office; accurate data entry; WMS, document scanning, copying, and basic office skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic, reading, and writing
- Ability to understand the production schedule
- 1-3 years of experience in Inventory Control
- Count back inventory reconciliation
- Inventory audits for outbound shipments
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team
- Interface directly with customers on inventory adjustments
