Job summary

Tenet Healthcare in Modesto, CA seeks an Inventory Control Technician (Per Diem) reporting to Purchasing Director. You will order and purchase inventory, maintain location databases, and support materials management directives in a fast-paced hospital setting.

With 3+ years in inventory control or hospital supply chain, you will interact with department directors and nurses, process new item requests, and assist distribution/warehouse staff as needed. High school graduate preferred.

Reporting to the Purchasing Director the Inventory Control Technician is responsible for ordering and purchasing of inventory locations, maintaining inventory database, maintaining correct inventory and assisting with materials management directives. Meets with vendors by appointment to obtain information requested, processes new items requests prior to use/item conversion, and keeps abreast of changes pertaining to all inventory locations by attending necessary meetings and communicating with department management. Provides support for distribution/ warehouse staff by performing the duties when needed.

Minimum Education:

• High school graduate preferred.

Minimum Experience/Skills:

• 3+ years experience in inventory control and/or hospital supply chain experience.
• Proven knowledge and experience with requisition and inventory control systems; ability to communicate at a high level to interact with department directors and nurses.
