Job summary

Lesaffre North America in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking an Inventory Control Tech to support the maintenance team by managing spare parts storage, receiving and distributing materials, and coordinating with technicians and supervisors.

You will inventory parts, keep shelving organized, perform cycle counts in the CMMS, and assist with maintenance planning. A safety‑first mindset, basic computer skills, and ability to multitask are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Warehouse and maintenance experience preferred.
• Requires ability to use material handling equipment (Forklift, Hand Jack).
• Requires ability to prioritize and organize tasks and follow through to ensure completion.
• Communication and customer service skills are needed with technicians and supervisors.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, email, and maintenance software.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Maintain spare parts storage area and interface with maintenance staff.
• Receive and ship parts and material; ensure accurate documentation.
• Install and move shelving; organize and label locations.
• Enter incoming parts and outgoing parts; perform cycle counts in the CMMS.
• Track stock levels and coordinate with Maintenance Planner for work orders.
• Manage disposal of universal waste with EH&S manager.
• Meet daily with maintenance team to understand needs.
• Retrieve external supplies using a company vehicle as needed.
• Assist mechanical and electrical departments when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring to the table:

As an Inventory Control Tech, you'll support the activities of the maintenance department by maintaining the spare parts storage area, interfacing with the maintenance technicians and supervisors about needs, receiving spare parts inventory and parts distribution.

What you’ll do as an Inventory Control Tech:

• Demonstrates an unwavering commitment toLesaffre'ssafety-first culture by strictly following all safety protocols andparticipatingin required safety programs
• Responsible formaintainingthe organization of spare parts and material including, but not limited to:Machine parts, Non- Stock Items (bolts, nuts, fittings,etc.), Lubricants, and External Storage Areas.
• Installingand moving shelving in storage areas.
• Organizingand labeling parts locations.
• Responsible for the receipt and shipment of parts and material:
• Responsible for physical and electronic receiving of parts and material.
• Responsible for delivery of all orders tothe intendedrecipient.
• Responsible for physical and electronic return arrangements for parts andmaterials.
• Maintainreceiving and shipping documentation for all deliveries and storage of documentation in an orderly fashion.
• Responsiblefor entering incoming parts, entering (charging-out) outgoing parts, cyclecounting,and part reconciliation in the CMMS.
• Trackingmisc. stock (ex. oil, grease, fuel, lumber, supply bins, etc.) andmaintainingappropriate levels.
• Work in coordination withthe MaintenancePlanner to prepare parts kits for work orders.
• Maintainassigned responsibilities as applies to the Maintenance Master Cleaning Schedule.
• Manage the disposal of universal waste (used oil, used batteries, used cans, used bulbs,etc.) in coordination with the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager.
• Meet daily with maintenance technicians, maintenancesupervisors,andtheMaintenanceManagerto understand and support needs.
• Use when needed the technical documentation available in the department
• As needed, responsiblefor retrievingexternal supplies using a company vehicle.
• Assistthe mechanical and electrical departments when needed
• Other duties as assigned

Required qualifications:
