Job summary

HD Supply in Charlotte, NC is seeking an inventory control associate to support inventory-related tasks and training within a distribution center.

You will help manage cycle counts, coordinate tasks, and report discrepancies while coordinating with vendors and management to maintain accuracy and flow. This role emphasizes hands-on training and reliable operation of warehouse equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Able to pass a drug test.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move product throughout the day.
• Willingness to train to operate order/cherry picker, reach, EPJ or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coaches and trains inventory control associates on inventory and count procedures.
• Coordinates and prioritizes inventory control work to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Records and reports all inventory adjustments, pallet audits, and discrepancies weekly.
• Reviews cycle counts and tracks discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Checks for product quality and communicates quality issues to vendors.
• Determines the appropriate placement for inventory based on size and selling volume.
• Assists with loading damaged merchandise into delivery vehicles using material handling equipment.
• Acts as back-up for all inventory and general warehouse functions.
