Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking an Inventory Control Supervisor for a weekend shift to oversee the non-exempt Inventory Control Team and ensure accurate records aligned with SLAs. You will guide daily activities, assess inaccuracies, and advocate corrective actions to support continuous improvements.

Responsibilities include ensuring accuracy and compliance, maximizing site processes, preparing documentation for audits, and maintaining a safe, productive work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent 4 years experience, required
• Some knowledge of inventory control, preferred
• Knowledge of systems such as JDA, Manhattan, WMS, DMPLUS, SAP, etc. required

Responsibilities

• To provide guidance and coordination of the non-exempt Inventory Control Team daily activities necessary to maintain accurate inventory records relative to the client service level agreement.
• The Inventory Control Supervisor will assist site Inventory Control and Operations Leadership and Operations Peers in assessing inventory inaccuracies and recommending corrective action necessary to support continuous process improvement and operational excellence.
• Ensure customer inventory control accuracy and shrink contractual requirements / service level agreements are monitored and reported timely to site leadership
• Maximize the performance of the site inventory processes and system to ensure: Care, custody, and control of customer inventory; Accuracy (to floor and customer book); Proper utilization of information technology
• Provide required documentation to customer, customer’s financial statement auditor or appropriate regulatory auditor in support of compliance requirements
• Ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for associates
• Conduct associate performance reviews, individual development plans and succession plans
• Ensure company policies are communicated, administered, and enforced at appropriate levels
• Ensure associates have proper training and access to the necessary tools to perform their assigned

Weekend shift Inventory Supervisor

Inventory Accuracy & Control

• Maintain accurate inventory records across all warehouse locations.


• Monitor inventory transactions, adjustments, and stock movements.


• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances.


• Ensure compliance with inventory management procedures and customer requirements.


• Conduct root cause analysis for inventory errors and implement corrective actions.

Cycle Counts & Physical Inventory

• Develop and execute cycle count schedules.


• Manage annual physical inventory activities.


• Review count results and reconcile variances.


• Ensure inventory audits are completed accurately and on time.


• Track inventory accuracy metrics and drive continuous improvement.

Team Leadership

• Supervise inventory clerks, coordinators, and associates.


• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback.


• Establish clear expectations and accountability within the team.


• Create work schedules and allocate resources appropriately.


• Promote employee engagement and development.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes and system controls.


• Partner with Operations and Continuous Improvement teams to reduce inventory errors.

Warehouse Management System - Manhattan WMS

• Monitor inventory transactions within the WMS.


• Validate receipts, transfers, adjustments, and shipments.


• Troubleshoot system-related inventory issues.


• Ensure system data integrity and inventory visibility.


• Ability to utilize Mahattan

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure inventory processes meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements.


• Support warehouse safety initiatives.


• Maintain inventory documentation and audit readiness.


• Participate in quality and compliance inspections.

The Inventory Control Supervisor role has a national salary range of $55,000 - $90,000.

For roles within California the range is $70,304 - $90,000, Washington is $80,169 - $90,000, New York is 62,354 - $90,000 and Colorado 57,500 - $90,000.
