Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $70,000.00 Annually

OVERVIEW:

Responsible for the inventory control of the DC. Understanding of inventory control practices to include the delivery of quarterly and yearly cycle count program. Experienced in preparing and delivering cycle count internal and external audits. Actively participate in inventory performance discussions across all departments throughout the site.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help maintain accurate inventory levels, by overseeing the movement, control, and storage of product throughout the DC and analyzing data from inventory movements and other warehouse processes
  • Maintain accurate controls and procedures to properly implement cycle count operations and physical inventories
  • Responsible for Rework and Re-class activities and respective inventory adjustments and communications.
  • Ability to analyze and correct inventory discrepancies as needed. Conduct root cause analysis to prevent future discrepancies (systems, process or people deficiencies).
  • Exercise independent judgement in the interviewing, hiring, training, assignment of tasks and targets, scheduling, coaching, counseling, evaluating, and disciplining of employees
  • Act as a mentor by providing leadership and expertise within the department
  • Provide high level of quality standards throughout facility
  • Monitor and resolve workplace safety issues to keep employee safe by complying with company safety policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Other projects as assigned by Senior DC Manager

All Live Comfortably associates play a crucial role in meeting our customer requirements and are expected after initial training to perform with minimal supervision. Associates may be asked to assist with other duties and work in other departments when needed to meet those requirements.

REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5 + years of supervision experience (Manufacturing Environment preferred)
  • Prior Inventory Supervision experience required
  • Proven experience managing inventories and associates
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Experience in purchasing a plus
  • Manhattan Scale & NetSuite knowledge a plus
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office (specifically Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to be certified in various types of Forklifts may be a requirement.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Associates in this role may spend a significant amount of time moving throughout warehouse and production area. This may include walking long distances, standing or remaining in a stationary position for extended periods, and using computers or other devices while performing Inventory Control related tasks. The position also requires movement within an office environment to access file cabinets, office equipment, and other work areas.

The role requires the ability to move and transport items up to 10 lbs. as needed. Associates may occasionally need to reach or position themselves to obtain items from various heights, including overhead, at ground level, or under desks and tables.

This position requires regular use of hands for simple grasping, handling, and fine manipulation, particularly while using a computer or other equipment necessary to perform job functions.

Associates must be able to hear and respond to spoken communication and audible alarms. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception in order to inspect materials, evaluate products, and create or interpret documentation and quality requirements.

Associates may include work on the manufacturing floor, where they are frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and equipment in operation. The noise level is generally moderate, though certain areas require the use of hearing protection, and employer-provided earplugs are mandatory in those designated zones.

Not all areas within the plant or warehouse are climate controlled, and associates may experience exposure to varying temperatures, including heat or cold. The work environment may also include frequent exposure to dust, airborne particles, and materials related to manufacturing processes, raw material handling, and finished goods storage.
