Job summary

Rackspace Technology is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Associate to ensure accountability and security of data center inventory at our Reston, VA site. You will process returns, manage shipments, and support physical inventory movements in alignment with Rackspace core values and safety policies.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and 2 years in inventory, with comfort in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with inventory industry standards.
• Able to work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Familiarity with productivity software (Office/e-mail rules).
• Basic knowledge of inventory control systems and cycle counting.

Job Summary

Ensure accountability and security of data center inventory. Understand and adhere to company safety policies and procedures as well as documented inventory controls and practices. Provide service in alignment with Rackspace Core Values to include FANATICAL support.

Work Location: Onsite Reston VA

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and process internal tickets (with limited supervision).
• Process equipment returning to secured inventory stockroom.
• Execute physical movements of inventory.
• Participate in regularly schedule inventory-related meetings.
• Assist in training teammates.
• Stock materials following industry handling standards.
• Process hard drives containing data through the drive wiping and destruction processes.
• Complete all shipping and receiving documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with inventory industry standards.
• Able to work a flexible schedule within a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Familiarity with productivity software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office and email client software, including the creation of rules and folder organization.
• Familiarity with electronic and computer components is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of integrated inventory control systems.
• Basic knowledge of the cycle counting process.
• Basic shipping and receiving experience.
• Able to lift 60 lbs. overhead.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. The compensation range for this position ranges from $45,011.00/year in our lowest geographic market up to $59,946.00/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
