Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist for 1st shift at our North Hatfield, MA facility. The role focuses on cycle counting, verifying inventory in reserve locations, and updating the warehouse system using computers and handheld devices.

You will investigate variances, assist with product dating, and support handling of obsolete inventory. Typical shift is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with competitive hourly pay, paid training, and benefits starting day

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with warehouse and inventory management systems preferred.
• Ability to lift 20–60 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate cycle counts of inventory locations using warehouse tools and update the system.
• Research and process problem pallets and unlocated inventory; log errors as directed.
• Validate dating of products and update records accordingly.
• Daily inbound receiving audits and root-cause analysis of variances.
• Respond to buyer requests for item checks and internal code-to-code transfers.
• Coordinate handling of obsolete and at-risk inventory (vendor returns, donations, recalls).
• Research and resolve inventory variances and report findings to Operations.
