Weis Markets, Inc. is seeking a warehouse/receiving associate to support store operations in Maryland. The role involves overseeing inbound and outbound shipments, verifying counts, and ensuring merchandise is in saleable condition.

You will interact with vendors and customers, promote safety, and help maintain organized backroom areas. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years’ receiving experience.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED is required.
• Preferably two (2) years or more experience in receiving.

Responsibilities

• Oversees vendors bringing merchandise in and out of store.
• Receives, checks, counts and records all incoming merchandise and similarly checks and records all outgoing merchandise to be returned to vendors.
• Promotes excellent customer relations and helps resolve customer concerns promptly.
• Maintains backroom and receiving area security, sanitation and organization by promoting 5S procedures.
• Follows company safety standards and ensures equipment for receiving/moving merchandise is in safe operating condition.
